Our Father, we thank You for being our God. Thank You for our forefathers who paved the way for us. Lord, we will tell of all the marvelous things You have done!

Righteous Father, as people of African descent, we declare that as we obey Your Word, we are the head and not the tail; we will always be on top and never at the bottom.

Holy Spirit, as we celebrate what is called “Black History Month,” help us never to forget our history. Help us to rise above all barriers and to make this a better world.

Loving Father, please forgive us for all acts of sinfulness. Forgive us for complaining about being stretched beyond our comfort zones. Holy Spirit, help us to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.

Eternal Lord, righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne. Unfailing love and truth walk before You as attendants. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
